2024 Audi SQ8 Revealed at GIMS Qatar 2023

The German luxury carmaker recently unveiled the high-performance version of its popular SQ8 model, featuring a powerful twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that churns out an impressive 507 horsepower and 568 pound-feet (770 Newton-meters) of torque.

This update comes approximately five years after the initial launch of the Q8 and introduces subtle changes to the vehicle’s design, along with advancements in its lighting technology. The front end now offers optional HD Matrix LED headlights, which incorporate laser high beam technology, while the taillights make use of OLEDs. Additionally, the grille receives a redesign with octagonal elements. The showcased model at the 2023 GIMS sports carbon fiber side mirror caps and rolls on massive 23-inch wheels, although Audi will also offer smaller 22- and 21-inch wheel options for the high-performance SUV.

Despite its substantial size and weight, the SQ8 impresses with its remarkable acceleration, achieving a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) time of just 4.1 seconds. At its top speed, the vehicle is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). For those seeking even more power, the facelifted RS Q8 is expected to debut in the near future, promising enhanced performance.

Looking ahead, Audi plans to offer a range of Q8 models, including gasoline and diesel variants, alongside fully electric versions known as the Q8 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron Sportback. These electric models represent updated versions of the previous E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback.
