New 2025 Peugeot E-408 Revealed

Peugeot has officially expanded its fully electric lineup with the introduction of the new Peugeot E-408, building on the momentum from its 2022 plug-in hybrid version. This all-electric fastback offers both efficiency and performance with its sleek design and advanced electric powertrain. With a powerful 210 horsepower (157 kilowatts) motor and a battery range of up to 453 kilometers, the Peugeot E-408 is designed to provide a thrilling, zero-emission driving experience. It also simplifies recharging thanks to its integrated trip planner, making the process easier for users. The Peugeot E-408 comes with an extensive eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty through the brand’s Allure Care program, providing long-term peace of mind for electric vehicle buyers.

Peugeot has designed the E-408 to stand out in the electric vehicle market, combining a dynamic fastback silhouette with 100 percent electric power. The company’s signature i-Cockpit® enhances the driving experience, offering intuitive controls and a customizable digital cluster. Peugeot also emphasizes how this model completes their impressive electric vehicle lineup, which includes a broad range of 12 electric passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, making it one of the largest selections in Europe.

The Peugeot 408 originally made waves in 2022 with its unique fastback design, elevating its presence in the C-segment. This feline-inspired posture is more than just for aesthetics; it’s part of what gives the 408 its sporty character. With bold curves and sharp body lines, the E-408 maintains the visual dynamism of its predecessors while offering a modern twist on the classic Peugeot design. Measuring 4.69 meters in length and featuring a 2.79-meter wheelbase, the E-408 incorporates a carefully designed underbody to house the battery without sacrificing cabin space or lowering the center of gravity.

One of the biggest talking points of the Peugeot E-408 is its powerful electric motor. It generates 210 horsepower and 345 Newton-meters of torque, delivering an engaging driving experience. The motor, produced in France through a joint venture between Stellantis and Nidec, is matched with a smooth reducer for optimal performance. The E-408 is also equipped with regenerative braking, which helps improve the vehicle’s efficiency by allowing the driver to recover energy during deceleration.

Inside the vehicle, Peugeot continues its tradition of blending advanced technology with comfort. The 10-inch touchscreen is the hub for the i-Connect® Advanced system, which comes with TomTom navigation and real-time updates. Drivers can plan routes that maximize range and locate nearby charging stations. Peugeot also integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly, making it easy to connect smartphones. The E-408 offers advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warnings, ensuring a safe and convenient driving experience.

Peugeot designed the E-408 to be as practical as it is enjoyable. With 471 liters of cargo space and rear seats that fold down to increase capacity to 1,545 liters, this vehicle accommodates both daily commutes and long trips. The cabin is designed with high-quality materials like Alcantara® and Nappa leather in select markets, adding a premium feel.

As Peugeot moves towards a greener future, the E-408 is a key milestone in their journey to becoming a leader in the European electric vehicle market. With a mix of innovation, comfort, and safety, this vehicle is positioned to offer a unique and sustainable driving experience for years to come.
