2024 Lexus TX US Spec Revealed

Lexus has unveiled its latest creation, an exceptional vehicle designed to cater to diverse needs and lifestyles. Offering three distinct powertrain options, this vehicle aims to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to the brand’s vision of a carbon-neutral society. Let’s explore the powertrain options and their unique features.

Firstly, we have the TX 350 (FWD/AWD), equipped with a responsive 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 engine. This engine, known for its elegant and refined driving performance, has been successfully utilized in the RX and NX models.

Moving on, we have the TX 500h (DIRECT4 AWD only), exclusively available as F SPORT Performance. This variant boasts a 2.4L turbocharged Parallel Hybrid system, which was initially introduced in the 2023 RX model. Combined with DIRECT4 and Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS), this system ensures responsive maneuverability and enhanced vehicle stability. DIRECT4, Lexus’ exclusive all-wheel drive technology, promptly adjusts power distribution to all four wheels according to driving conditions and driver intentions. Additionally, DRS enables the rear wheels to turn in sync with the front wheels during higher speed maneuvers, ensuring precise and stable turning response. At lower speeds, the rear wheels seamlessly turn in the opposite direction to enhance low-speed maneuverability.

Last but not least, we have the TX 550h+ (DIRECT4 AWD only) plug-in hybrid vehicle. This groundbreaking model combines the power of a 3.5L V6 engine with DIRECT4 technology. The result is a distinctive driving experience characterized by serene quietness, smooth acceleration, and an estimated EV range rating of approximately 33 miles. Notably, this marks the first Lexus PHEV assembled in North America, underscoring the brand’s commitment to innovative and sustainable manufacturing.
