2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Track Ready Supercar

The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the pinnacle of performance for those who seek to find the ultimate track experience in a street-legal car. Its 4.0-liter flat-six engine delivers 518 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque, enough to propel it from 0 to 60 in 3.0 seconds flat.

The RS stands out from other models with its center-mounted single-piece radiator, allowing Porsche’s engineers to add an active aerodynamic package. This system was first developed on the 911 RSR and GT3 R race cars, and has been further refined for the street. The GT3 RS also employs a seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, enhancing its performance and control over the six-speed sequential gearbox found in the Cup car model.

The RS’s track-inspired design and handling come at a price, with the 2023 model costing significantly more than the other 911 models. However, it offers a unique driving experience that is sure to thrill car enthusiasts, and its advanced technology and performance make it one of the most exciting sports cars on the market.

The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a track-ready supercar with precision-tuned performance enhancements that make it stand out from the pack. At the heart of this machine is an active aero system that utilizes continuously adjustable wing components front and rear for optimal control over performance. It delivers 900 pounds of downforce at 124 mph, and an incredible 1,895 pounds at 177 mph. In drag reduction mode, the wings go flat, helping the GT3 RS achieve its top speed of 184 mph, while in maximum-drag mode they act as supplemental air brakes.

The RS also gets a substantial brake upgrade, with larger (by 2 mm) front pistons grabbing 408 mm discs, and 380 mm discs with four-piston fixed calipers at the rear. An optional Carbon Ceramic package adds even larger rotors (410 mm up front and 390 in the rear), and center-locking wheels (20 inches up front, 21 inches in the rear) wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s in 275/35R20s and 335/30R21s, respectively. To lessen weight, the 911 GT3 RS has a generous helping of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic body and interior components, and the optional Weissach package brings even more weight savings by way of forged magnesium wheels and additional carbon exterior panels.

The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the perfect balance of power and performance, but its price tag is far from cheap. With a sticker price of $225,250 (including $1,450 for destination), it’s around 20% more expensive than the previous generation. However, its advanced features and incredible performance more than justify its price. The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS will arrive in the US in the spring of 2023.
