The 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon is showcasing some exciting new debuts for fans of JDM performance, including several rally-themed GR Yaris concepts from Toyota. The company has four specialty GR Yaris vehicles on display, including the GR Yaris RZ High-Performance Sebastien Ogier Edition Concept and the Kalle Rovanpera Edition Concept. Both concepts honor the wins of the WRC drivers’ championships in 2021 and 2022, respectively, and feature exclusive exterior paint finishes, upgraded rear wings, special graphics and badging, and bespoke interior stitching. The turbocharged three-cylinder engine gets a bump in torque to 288 pound-feet (390 Newton meters) and both drivers provide bespoke vehicle performance settings for the models bearing their name. Additionally, Toyota is displaying a GR Yaris Rally2 Concept and GR Yaris with new GR parts that will be available soon.
