New Chevrolet Corvette E Ray Debuts in 2024 with 665 HP of Electric Power

The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, set to debut in 2024, will be the first ever electric version of the classic sports car. With its electric motor and 6.2-liter V8, the hybrid model boasts a total output of 665 horsepower. Chevy claims the E-Ray can reach 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds, making it the fastest production ‘Vette ever, and completing a quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds at a speed of 130 mph. The E-Ray’s electric motor on the front axle provides 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, powered by a 1.9-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. The combustion engine powertrain component is the well-known LT2 6.2-liter V8 from the Stingray, producing 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
