MG has unveiled its refreshed HS SUV lineup at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrating a significant milestone in the company’s 100-year history. The new petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models come packed with a host of new features, increased cabin space, and updated styling, making sure the HS stays a strong contender in the crowded SUV market.

The new MG HS models are known for their excellent value. The petrol HS SE 1.5T is priced at £24,995, while the top-of-the-line HS Trophy PHEV is available from £33,995. These competitive prices make the HS a standout choice in its class.

Buyers can choose between advanced petrol and PHEV powertrains. The PHEV model combines a 142-horsepower 1.5-liter petrol engine with a 154-kilowatt electric motor, offering a solid performance with 0-62 mph acceleration in just 6.8 seconds. The electric motor is powered by a 24.7-kilowatt-hour battery and a 67-kilowatt generator, providing an electric-only driving range of up to 75 miles. For those who prefer a traditional petrol engine, the new MG HS offers a next-generation 1.5T petrol engine, generating 169 horsepower and 275 Newton meters of torque. This engine accelerates from 0-62 mph in 9.4 seconds and comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission automatic option available.
