New 2024 Kia K5 Rendered

Prototypes of the redesigned Kia K5 have already been spied on by shutterbugs and Kolesa took the opportunity to render a few photos imagining what the new car will look like. The contours of the actual cars remain obscured under a thick layer of camouflage, but discernible from the facade are the fresh headlights, embellished with L-shaped LED strips, which morph into bulkier dimensions as they near the radiator grille. It is almost certain that the grille will undergo some transformation, and the bumper will also be reworked. Substantial changes are not anticipated along the sides of the car, and at the back, the facelifted sedan can be unmistakably identified by the revamped taillights, which will acquire more angular contours and elongated “fangs” along the edges.

The current iteration of the K5 from Kia is constructed on the third-generation N3 platform, developed in collaboration with Hyundai and Kia, and also used in the newest version of the Hyundai Sonata sedan. The current model is powered by gasoline engines of 2.0-liter (160 horsepower) and turbocharged 1.6-liter (180 horsepower) capacity. The 2.0 LPI gas engine (146 horsepower) and a hybrid variant based on a 2.0-liter engine are also offered to buyers.
