Kia has recently disclosed the comprehensive specifications of the 2024 Kia EV9, their inaugural SUV flagship, which accommodates three rows of seats and is electrically powered. This novel vehicle brings new perspectives, innovative design elements, and advanced technologies to the domain of SUVs while simultaneously leading the brand’s swift transformation towards becoming a sustainable mobility solutions provider in the age of electrification.
The EV9 is founded on the revolutionary Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which delivers exceptional athletic performance alongside a meticulously calculated all-electric range of over 541 km, as certified by the World harmonized Light vehicle Testing Procedure (WLTP). Furthermore, its ultra-fast 800-volt charging capability enables the battery pack to obtain an ample supply of power, sufficient to enable the vehicle to travel for approximately 239 km, in as little as fifteen minutes.
An array of technological breakthroughs is evident in this latest addition to Kia’s vehicle lineup, including the Highway Driving Pilot (HDP) system. While this is presently only available in the Kia EV9 GT-line and a limited number of markets, it enables conditional Level 3 autonomous driving. Additionally, Kia has introduced the Kia Connect Store, a novel feature that allows customers to purchase digital services and features on demand, thus providing them with the flexibility to customize their vehicle and continuously upgrade the EV9’s capabilities with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, anytime they want.
