New 2024 Hyundai Elantra N aka Avante N Teaser Video

In the wake of revealing a refreshed Elantra in February, Hyundai is now showcasing the revamped N edition at Auto Shanghai 2023 in China. Official images display the Avante, the moniker employed in South Korea for the compact sedan. Nevertheless, similar to the standard model, the international N variant should be practically indistinguishable. It inherits the aesthetic adjustments implemented on the regular version, complemented by new 19-inch rims and dark-hued emblems.

The front bumper has undergone a transformation, featuring more body-matching elements by discarding some of the black highlights. The crimson stripe at the base now ascends slightly in the middle, while the grille seems marginally reduced due to a body-colored plastic segment bisecting it. As observed on the non-N version, the sportier Elantra boasts slimmer headlights on either side of a novel metallic strip, visually linking them to the daytime running lights.

Conversely, the front’s reduction in black elements is counterbalanced at the rear, where the bumper’s lower segment is predominantly black. An additional alteration we can identify is the extension of the red stripe to the bumper’s edges. The posterior wing seems unchanged, positioned above a dimmed Hyundai emblem on the trunk cover.

Interior snapshots remain undisclosed; however, after examining the 2024 Avante, we anticipate no significant modifications to the Elantra N’s inner sanctum. Another enigmatic aspect is the powertrain, as it is uncertain whether Hyundai has altered the turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine. In the pre-refreshed model, the inline-four generates 276 horsepower and 289 pound-feet (392 Newton-meters) of torque. The transmission alternatives are likely to stay consistent, comprising a six-speed manual and an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic.

In the approaching weeks, anticipate a comprehensive unveiling. To recap, Hyundai has already verified that a next-generation Elantra N featuring a petrol engine will be produced, although it probably won’t be accompanied by an analogous i30 N hot hatch.
