New 2022 BWT Alpine A522 F1 Car Revealed

BWT Alpine F1 Team officially unveiled the new A522 today in Paris, ushering in Alpine’s new era of excellence and sporting prowess, ahead of the much anticipated start of the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season. Alpine’s stunning blue livery, now paired with BWT’s iconic pink, following the recent announcement that it will be the team’s title sponsor for 2022. BWT Alpine F1 Team also surprised everyone by unveiling an “inverted” livery, where the main color is the pink. This unmistakable livery will be used for the first two races of the calendar, to highlight the collaboration with the title sponsor BWT.

The presentation of the second F1 single-seater in the history of BWT Alpine F1 Team was made by Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault Group, and Otmar Szafnauer, the new Team Director. The drivers Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso were also present at the reveal of the highly anticipated A522. This new-looking team is aiming for further progress in 2022, following Alpine’s first big season in Formula 1 last year.

Enstone’s technical departments will now be led by a highly experienced couple: Pat Fry, Chassis Technology Director, and Matt Harman, Technical Director. On the other side of the Channel, Alpine recently appointed Bruno Famin as Executive Director of Alpine Racing at Viry-Châtillon, to optimize the integration between chassis and engine, while ensuring the transfer of innovations from the track to the road.
