New 2021 Suzuki GSX S1000GT Engine

The fact that the rider feels in tune with his Suzuki, however, depends first of all on the goodness of the cycling and mechanical package. The # gsxs1000gtinherits the winning superbike DNA of the glorious GSX-R lineage. From the latter comes, for example, the engine, which benefits from meticulous development work and delivers more torque (106 Nm at 9,250 rpm) and more power (112 kW / 152 HP at 11,000 rpm) than the unit previously used on the GSX-S1000F, despite the transition from the Euro 4 homologation to the more severe Euro 5. Beyond the higher peak values, the delivery curve is now wider, substantial and regular, a characteristic that is appreciated both in sporty driving and in tourism. To achieve this, the engineers worked on many fronts, for example modifying the profile of the camshafts, the throttle bodies, the air filter box and the exhaust system. The slipper clutch is now assisted thanks to the introduction of the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), which reduces the effort required to operate the lever. In Hamamatsu they have optimized even the smallest details to improve reliability, even intervening on the type of thread of the studs.
The powertrain is housed in a rigid yet lightweight double-beam aluminum frame that directly connects the steering head and swingarm pivot, which in turn is taken from the GSX-R1000. The suspensions are fully adjustable, in spring preload and hydraulic brakes, in compression and rebound.
