Ford Reduces Mach-E Prices, Boosts Annual Production to 130K Units

Ford is ramping up production of its Mustang Mach-E electric vehicle (EV) this year, as its new EV supply chain comes online. The aim is to reduce customer wait times, streamline costs, and make the Mustang Mach-E more accessible to customers. The company has also made a significant price cut across the board, ranging from $600 to $5,900, making it more competitive in the marketplace.

In addition to the price cuts, Ford has also reduced the cost of the extended-range battery option, which now costs $7,000 instead of $8,600. The standard-range battery of the Mach-E has a total capacity of 75.7 kWh, with 68 kWh being usable. The extended-range battery option provides a total capacity of 98.7 kWh, with 91 kWh being usable.

To meet the growing demand for the Mach-E, Ford is increasing production by 67%, bringing the annual production run rate from 78,000 to 130,000. This represents a substantial increase in production and Ford has plans to add even more volume in the future.
