Ferrari marks 30 years in China with unique Tailor Made Roma, featuring Chinese aesthetic influences

Ferrari is celebrating 30 years of presence in China. Over the past three decades, the luxury car brand has expanded its reach to 21 dealerships across the country, starting from the first Ferrari ordered in Beijing in 1992. To mark this milestone, Ferrari has created a special edition of its Roma model, designed by Tailor Made, the company’s customization and personalization program. This one-of-a-kind Roma was developed in collaboration with renowned Chinese designer, Jiang Qiong’er, who drew inspiration from traditional Chinese aesthetics and craftsmanship for the project. The car features a unique color scheme of Sanusilver Matte and Rosso Magma Glossy, with the latter paying tribute to the traditional Chinese carmine red. Additionally, stripes on the body and interior were inspired by classical Ming Dynasty furniture. The car also boasts carbon-fiber sills with Tailor Made dedication, a key case painted in red- and gold-spotted Boluo lacquer, and a gold dedication plate engraved with the jade Chinese characters for “30”. To complement the car, Qiong’er has also created a lifestyle package that includes items such as an aroma diffuser set, tea tool set, ebony cigar box, inkstone cigar ashtray, bamboo-woven tea set, Xuan paper kite, cashmere blankets, and an agate and leather Chinese checkers set that are discreetly stored in the car’s glove compartment, armrest and trunk.
