Das Treffen 7 Celebrating Dreams in Colors A Tribute to Porsche’s Heritage and Innovation

The seventh edition of Das Treffen, Southeast Asia’s largest Porsche event, was held in Bangkok, a city where the old and new blend in many ways. This event not only brings together different generations of Porsche sports cars, but also unites all generations of Porsche enthusiasts. From those who swear by air-cooled Porsche cars to new Porsche fans who are enamored with the latest models, Das Treffen is the perfect convergence point. Founded by Sihabutr ‘Tenn’ Xoomsai, who has a passion for the brand, Das Treffen has come a long way since its inception in 2016. With the Porsche community in Thailand growing every year and international fans traveling great distances to attend the event, it has become the largest Porsche gathering in Southeast Asia.

This year’s theme, Dreams in Colors, paid homage to the many personalities and aspirations of Porsche owners, as well as the wide range of Porsche paint colors on display. The event featured a carnival-like atmosphere at the IMPACT Speed Park in Bangkok, and the community spirit was palpable. From the well-known Gymkhana Zone, where Porsche owners competed in time trials, to a Kids’ Driving School where young Porsche fans honed their skills, there was something for every member of the Porsche family.

The year 2023 holds a special significance for Porsche, as the company celebrates 75 years of Porsche Sportscars, and it also marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911 and 30 years of Porsche in Thailand. Over the past three decades, Porsche has found its way into the hearts of the Thai people, and likewise, Thailand has found its way into the heart of Porsche. To commemorate this special anniversary, Porsche Thailand unveiled a vibrant art installation at Das Treffen 7, bearing the seven colors of the week in Thai culture.

The 911 contingent at Das Treffen received special attention, with rare and sought-after models on display, including a 911 Speedster in a Paint-to-Sample Oak Green Metallic and a classic 911 F-Series in Burgundy Red. Porsche and Thailand: celebrating heritage, yet forward-looking, innovative and bursting with color. Das Treffen 7 was truly a celebration of Dreams in Colors and the perfect way to mark the start of a vibrant year ahead.
