2024 Porsche 911 GT3 Refreshed 992.2 With Updated Dashboard and Exhaust Sound

Undoubtedly, we have witnessed a black Porsche 911 in disguise taking on the Nurburgring numerous times. We have also seen glimpses of the refreshed 911 GT3, anticipated to make its grand entrance later this year. Yet, we can’t help but be captivated by the crisp video footage and the crystal-clear audio, particularly when it reveals the GT3’s innovative digital dashboard.

In this modern era, the 911’s steadfast analog tachometer is finally yielding to an all-digital display, as seen at the beginning of the video. While it bears a resemblance to the current GT3, closer scrutiny unveils subtle distinctions in the redline, needle, and the absence of a bezel surrounding the gauge.

It’s hard to beat the exhilarating sound of a naturally aspirated 911 at full throttle, with the 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing a heart-pounding 502 horsepower. This specific prototype’s test driver shows no hesitation in pushing the limits through the Nurburgring’s countless twists and turns. But will the refreshed model bring even more power to the table? Speculations have been relatively scarce, and any power boost would likely be marginal to prevent the standard GT3 from infringing on the territory of the 518-hp RS model, which was unveiled less than a year ago.

As for exterior modifications, they remain confined to the rear of the 911, where black coverings conceal updates to the fascia. Notably, these covers are secured at the corners, hinting at potential alterations to the small winglets. Additionally, this particular prototype features coverings spanning the rear fascia’s center, perhaps masking adjustments to the license plate recess and diffuser.

Interestingly, the first spy photos of the revamped 911 GT3 surfaced shortly after the GT3 RS’s debut in August 2022. Considering Porsche’s history of public testing, a launch could take place later this year, positioning the updated GT3 as a 2024 model. However, if the unveiling is delayed, the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 might be the one to watch.
