2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT Could Be The Last Of Its Kind!

Suzuki with the GSX-S1000GT Experience demonstrated how the GSX-S1000GT is the “perfect” bike to tackle the most beautiful passes of the Italian-French Alps in total comfort and safety.

Over the course of two days, the GSX-S1000GT tackled seven passes and overcame a total elevation gain of over 10,000 meters.

The Hamamatsu Grand Tourer recorded average distances close to 20 km / liter.

534 kilometers, seven steps, 10,300 meters of total altitude difference and an average consumption of only 5.1 liters per 100 km. These are some of the salient data with which the GSX-S1000GT Experience ended, a two-day trip where the GT faced one of the most beautiful areas of the Alps, between Italy and France. The goal was to put the Hamamatsu Grand Tourer to the test, testing its reliability, comfort and mileage in the most realistic and probative conditions of use possible.

The path of the GSX-S1000GT Experience
The GSX-S1000GT Experience started on Thursday 21 July from the headquarters of Suzuki Italia , in the province of Turin. The GT headed through the Val di Susa towards Colle del Monginevro(1,860 m asl), before descending towards Briançon. From here the GSX-S1000GT headed towards Colle dell ‘ Izoard (2,360 m asl), going downstream before a new ascent towards Colle di Vars (2,108 m asl). The itinerary then developed following the signs for Barcelonnette, before turning towards Crots, on the banks of the Serre-Ponçon artificial lake, where the GT stopped for the night.
