Toyota presents the New Hilux 2021 with a renewed design, more comfort and technology, better performance and more safety. The leading pickup truck in its segment, produced at the Zárate plant in Argentina and exported to 23 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean, will arrive in Brazil’s dealer network as of November 26.
This New Hilux is the continuation of the success story of more than four decades that this pickup truck stars, thanks to its undeniable values of quality, durability and reliability.
Versatile, the New Hilux 2021 is still available in the most different configurations, from the Chassis version, single cab, to the top of the line SRX, double cab, in diesel engine, all 4 × 4; while the flex engine continues to rely on the SR 4 × 2, SRV 4 × 2 and SRV 4 × 4 versions.
Hilux’s new design is more modern, with changes to the headlights, grille and bumpers. Internally, among the main changes, is the audio equipment, now integrated into the instrument panel. All Hilux double cabin versions are equipped with an 8 ” touchscreen audio system with connectivity.
Regarding safety, the entire Hilux 2021 line is even more equipped, with the Simple Cabin versions now containing electronic stability control (VSC), ascent assistant (HAC), electronic traction control (A-TRC) and braking light automatic emergency. The big news, however, is the active safety package – Toyota Safety Sense – available at Hilux SRX, with frontal pre-collision system (PCS), lane change warning system (LDA) and adaptive cruise control (ACC) .
In turn, all Hilux versions have received improvements designed to optimize driving comfort. Regarding performance, the 2.8L diesel engine had a 15% power increase and now yields 204 hp. The flex versions follow the efficient 2.7L Dual VVT-i 16V engine of 163 hp when fueled with ethanol and 159 hp when fueled with gasoline.
All these features are added to the model’s already known benefits, in addition to standing out for the quality, reliability and durability characteristic of a Toyota vehicle.
